Sécurix
Frontal multi-protocols

Overview

The SECURIX front end provides reception of events generated by transmitters connected to the public switched telephone network (PSTN). It supports up to 120 channels and manages over 100 protocols. Designed to improve operator productivity, the SECURIX front end provides advanced computer / telephone integration (CTI) features and includes a voice server with synthesis and voice recognition capabilities as well as a voice logging system.

Open multi-protocol solution

For optimal customer connection, the SECURIX front-end interfaces with all standard RTC transmitters on the market. The wide variety of protocols available in series on the SECURIX front-end allows it to adapt to many business sectors (remote monitoring, remote assistance, self-monitoring, banks, elevators, etc.). Its architecture, based on digital signal processing (DSP) processors, also guarantees great agility by allowing the very rapid development of new transmitting protocols. The dialogue with the management computer is carried out using the TCP/IP protocol. Several standard protocols for dialogue with third-party supervisors are available. A Software Development Kit (SDK) is also available. The SECURIX front end also offers a scripting language (LUA) for transcoding, remote controls (e.g. commissioning) and setting up its voice server. In order to make the investments already made profitable, the SECURIX front-end can be interfaced with any existing telephone installation managed by a PABX with a T2 ISDN interface. Where appropriate, the operating companies can thus exploit the infrastructure of their voice/data network by allocating the management of flows to several remote monitoring sites.

Rugged and secure platform

The SECURIX front end runs on a rackable 19’ industrial CPU. Its RAID1 disk architecture (optional) is backed up by an independent disk and features redundant power and RAID fans. The architecture of its software provides a high level of security thanks to the use of encrypted protocols. The use of the mirror mode proposed by the telecom operators also makes it possible to secure the ISDN T2 line by distributing traffic on two different lines and two front-ends, and to reach a very high level of availability.

Communications recorder

All audio communications are recorded at the front end and can be stored optionally on a network storage server (NAS). Each audio communication can be listened to directly via the telephone terminal of the operator station. For greater ease of use, especially in the case of acoustic interference in a noisy environment, the SECURIX front-end communications recorder allows the operator to resume listening to an ongoing communication from its origin (delayed real-time mode).

Key Benefits

Incoming call management Assisted callback Ease of implementation Multi-protocol solution

How it Works

Remote controls & tele configuration

Depending on the protocol type and transmitter model, specific remote control and remote configuration solutions are available. These features are integrated with the optional Horus supervisor download module and the Anubis server.

Operating tools

One of the key features of the SECURIX front end is its ease of implementation. In seconds, simply linking a protocol to an incoming call number (ADS) allows the front end to manage new transmitters and customers. The SecurixConsole client software integrated with the SECURIX software distribution reinforces this simplification policy by centralizing the operation of several front-ends. In particular, it allows you to enter the parameters of frontal operation (SDA, issue, etc.), to consult the archives by making multi-criteria selections (transmitter code, transmitter telephone, date to date, customer fleet, type of event, protocol, call-in line, etc.) or to print the reception history. The Securix Console client software also allows you to view daily operating records detailing in particular the following information: - Calls per line, per protocol, per customer fleet - Abusive calls per line, per protocol, per customer fleet - System Global Load Graph Other functions managed by the Securix Console client include searching, viewing and extracting audio recordings stored on the different front-ends as well as the output of transmitter malfunction statistics. The Securix frontend can export its daily archives to an SQL server in a public format. The operators thus have all the freedom necessary to produce their own statistics with the tool of their choice.

Voice server

The SECURIX front-end integrates a voice server configured with the LUA scripting language and supporting speech synthesis and recognition features. Script execution can be triggered automatically by an incoming call on a specific ISDN channel (ADS). The applications of this Automatic Inbound Call Distribution (ACD) feature make it possible, among other things, to enhance facility supervision or improve customer reception and to automate certain operator tasks in general. The voice server also makes it possible to trigger outgoing calls and transform the SECURIX front-end into a real alert server.

Improved management of audio streams

The numerous features of the SECURIX front-end, available on an unlimited number of operator workstations, facilitate the management of audio streams and improve the productivity of the operating staff. Each operator station can manage multiple audio streams simultaneously thanks to the back-and-forth function, and the waiting music and waiting messages make it possible to maintain professional attention to customers. In terms of ergonomics, the Finder module (supplied with the front panel) or the MINIPAD™ headband of the Horus Supervision Solution operator station allow you to control the audio streams using the mouse (stalled, hang up, back and forth, listen again, etc.) and the microphone and speaker volumes are automatically adjusted according to the type of transmitter. Finally, the emission of the multi-frequency codes (DTMF) necessary for voice communications established through half-duplex transmitters is automatically managed by the SECURIX front-end without intervention by the operator.
